Jack McElroy gets it all wrong

I usually do not blog about my work. However, after reading Jack's latest blog post I had to correct a glaring error he wrote. in his blog post he wrote http://blogs.knoxnews.com/editor/2011/10/arrest-of-occupy-reporter-rais.shtml "There's no such thing as a official, card-carrying journalist, and the last thing professionals want is the government deciding who's a real reporter and who's not. " This is wrong on so many levels. First off, the Public Building Authority does in fact issue card carrying official journalist credentials to the certified media members who do business in the city and County buildings. I have a credentialed media pass with my photo on it which also acts as a magnetic swipe card to allow me access into the city County building without having to go through metal detectors with my photography equipment. Also, many police departments across the nation issue press passes. When I was a reporter in New York I was issued a press pass by the local police department. The way in which a press pass issuance is determined is usually by amount of hours worked by the reporter, circulation numbers of a local paper, radio is often determined by the wattage or listener share. but as for the video itself The journalist appears to have made a key mistake. First off when we had the first "Occupy Knoxville" rally I did cover the event when it first started about a month ago. The first thing I did was walk up to the head of KPD at the scene and asked if any special precautions needed to be taken. I presume if this reporter would have done the same he would not have gotten into trouble. In conclusion,YES government certified card carrying journalists do exist... Please note. being open and public with my Parkinson's battle

Great news I am in this months edition of the Michael J Fox newsletter click here and go page 7 I am very proactive. I am trying to be. I been trying to stay busy. I take more naps now. It is a battle a tough battle fighting parkinson's. One thing that has helped me a lot is Jack Lalanne video's like this Wow, I get inspired. Another trick of mine is I listen to satellite radio comedy channels. Even on very bad days a few jokes and I am back in a good mood. It could be a good half hour before I laugh, but you know what? Someone will make a joke that no matter how bad my day is, I got to laugh and that is a good start to feeling better. Being so vocal and active has its share of unintended consequences. Like people asking me for advice. One young man asked me "how and should I tell my girl friend?" My advice was how I told Melissa and the effect it had and has on us. I have learned and am really proud how I have been able to channel my anger of having Parks. Example, someone who I was once good friends with I knew was lying when she said she wouldn't have lunch with me cause she doesn't have lunch with guys. This was two weeks ago, fast forward to earlier this week I see on a webpage a twitter feed scroll and she is tweeting how she had a great lunch with a male friend. Initially, I wanted to tweet something really mean at her. I mean she in my opinion is a fake and this verified it. So anger builds and the old me would do what I did when I ran a political website blog. That would be to unleash all my anger at a person and transfer my anger of having Parks and put all my anger on that person. The new me did something different. I focused on a positive person, a great person, and wrote "*** is awesome." Then I moved on. I think I finally figured our why God gave me Parks. See, God also gave me a loud mouth, and incredible access to a wide range of celebrities and politicians. He gave me the disease because he knows I have a loud enough voice to get people motivated to find a cure. Their is no poor me speech. It is a pour more gas on the fire and continue the burning passion to find a cure! Please note.
